The Petrobras P-76 is a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit designed for the extraction and processing of oil and gas from offshore reserves. It operates in the Santos Basin, a major oil field off the coast of Brazil, and is owned by Petrobras, the largest state-controlled oil company in Brazil. The P-76 has the capability to process up to 150,000 barrels of oil per day and store approximately 1.6 million barrels of crude oil. The FPSO is equipped with advanced technology for the processing of oil and gas and is engineered to operate efficiently in the challenging deepwater environment of the pre-salt layers. In terms of environmental impact, the P-76 incorporates modern systems for leak prevention and waste management, aiming to minimize its ecological footprint and adhere to stringent environmental regulations to protect marine ecosystems.
