The RLTO Expansion and Offplot Facilities of the North Field Expansion Project (EPC-3) is a key development aimed at increasing Qatar’s natural gas production capacity. The project focuses on expanding the infrastructure required to process and transport the additional natural gas produced from the North Field, the world’s largest non-associated gas field. The RLTO (Reservoir Liquefaction and Transport Optimization) expansion involves the construction of new facilities to support the liquefaction and transportation of natural gas, enhancing the overall efficiency of the gas supply chain. Additionally, offplot facilities are being developed to improve the distribution network, including pipelines, storage, and compression stations. This expansion is critical for meeting the growing global demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) while strengthening Qatar’s position as a leading LNG exporter. The project also contributes to the country’s economic growth by creating job opportunities and supporting its long-term energy strategy.
